How to use a Righthand with Discord

Create a Discord community triage digest with channel and thread identities, message references, and separately authorized moderation actions.

Triage a community discussion before moderating it

Righthand can help prepare a Discord community triage digest from selected channels and threads. The useful result identifies unanswered questions, source-backed product answers, and items a moderator should inspect. It should not delete content or time out members merely to clear a queue.

Discord's channel reference distinguishes channel types, thread metadata, and permission context. Keep server, channel, and thread identities with the messages reviewed. An archived thread can still contain relevant discussion, while a channel list alone does not establish full message access.

Define community and coverage boundaries

Give the server, approved channels, included threads, reporting interval, public answer sources, and moderation policy. For an illustrative product-community review, select the help forum and known active threads, excluding private moderator discussions unless expressly needed.

Check Discord's actual tools through integrations. If message or thread reads are absent, provide an approved transcript or authorize a browser review. Bot permissions and native tool coverage require verification before claiming broader access or posting capability.

A complete example brief

At 3 PM America/Los_Angeles on weekdays, review the approved Discord help channels and specified threads since the last checkpoint. Produce a private digest with server and channel identity, thread reference, source message link, latest relevant message time, unanswered question, and proposed answer from the approved documentation. Flag potential policy issues for moderator review. Do not post, delete, ban, or alter threads. Deliver to me and reconcile thread coverage and the reporting interval.

The example is illustrative. A report from a community member is evidence of a reported problem, not proof of a defect or misconduct by another person.

Define the useful digest

An example item might say: “Help thread asks about setup prerequisites; documentation answers the general question; account-specific error remains unverified; moderator can approve a source-linked reply.” The assistant should not expose private account details in a public answer.

Keep moderation observations separate from product-support drafts. The moderator's policy determines whether content needs action. A sarcastic phrase or a single excerpt can be misleading without its surrounding messages, so preserve the relevant context.

Reconcile thread updates and missing access

On later runs, match thread and message identities and show new replies within the existing digest entry. A renamed thread should not become a new question. An inaccessible thread should remain a coverage gap rather than being described as resolved.

Permissions, archived-thread scope, and incomplete history retrieval can omit discussion. State the missing coverage. If public posting or moderation is later authorized and supported, verify the resulting message or action against the exact server, channel, and target.

Use Righthand's connection guide for scoped access and reviewed actions. Check plans for recurring community preparation and keep the moderator responsible for public replies and enforcement.
